How to Write a 700-Word Essay
Basic composition is necessary to a complete education. Entering college composition courses requires proficiency in the basic essay format. Even careers down the road long after college may require a report in the basic essay format. Writing a 700-word essay is best learned step-by-step, as it will help you formulate the rule set of basic composition into your head.
Formulate a succinct thesis to base your essay on. The thesis is the core ideas which you will discuss throughout your essay and use to form a rational conclusion.
Create a basic outline dividing the essay into five paragraphs, each paragraph marked by a roman numeral. Title the paragraph according to the broad subject matter discussed, and mark individual points to discuss within the paragraph by letters in alphabetical order.
Write the introductory paragraph and incorporate your essay’s thesis. Ensure that this paragraph is around 125 words.
Write the body paragraphs according to your outline. Make sure to discuss each point as necessary to your thesis. Each paragraph should be about 150 words.
Finish your essay with a conclusion paragraph that restates the thesis. The conclusion should be around 125 words.
